She is apparently studying for a Master’s in psychology at the University of Southern Denmark.

It is not known what Caroline Ruud does for work but she is frequently spotted cheering on her brother at tennis tournaments.

She was at Roland Garros as the 23-year-old Casper Ruud made his first ever Grand Slam final in the French Open, losing to childhood hero and mentor Rafael Nadal.

Ruud is from a tennis crazy household. His younger sister, Charlotte, is also training to be a tennis player.

Their father, Christian, was an ex-professional player who touched a profession high of world number Number 39. He made the 1997 Australian Open into the pre quarter finals.

Ruud’s rise to eminence has been enthused by Rafael Nadal and he trained at the legend’s academy in Mallorca when he was a youngster.

What do these players have in common with Rafael Nadal

What do these players have in common with Rafael Nadal?

What do these players have in common with Rafael Nadal?

Once you have read through this post you will agree that Rafael Nadal won the US Open 2022 without actually winning the title

Rafael Nadal’s impact in all the divisions of the 2022 US Open finals has been irrefutable. With Iga Swiatek, Carlos Alcaraz, Casper Ruud, Martin de la Puente, Alexandra Eala & Martin Landaluce making it to the finals in their respective categories, one can’t help but notice the common denominator – Rafael Nadal.

The tennis star himself has had a formidable show at the Grand Slams this year. The 22-time Major winner surpassed his own beliefs by winning a 2nd Australian Open title. He trailed that success by bagging his 14th Roland Garros title. At Wimbledon, Rafa fought his way through to the semifinals but pulled out from the final four citing an abdominal muscle tear. Barring his 4th-round US Open loss against Frances Tiafoe, Nadal was undefeated at the Majors this year.

Nadal’s onerous drive on the big stages is a glimpse into the work ethic he is imparting oh-so effectively to his students & admirers alike. His resilience, grit, and readiness to play each point with as much confidence was what set him apart from the rest. His talents can now be seen trickling into the younger generations.

One can observe that Rafael Nadal’s tennis academy in Mallorca, which was started in late 2016, has already begun to produce ground-breaking results.

Alexandra Eala, a student at the Rafa Nadal Academy, won the US Open girls’ title at the US Open 2022. Alexandra Eala has become the first player from the Philippines to achieve this momentous feat.

Meanwhile, Martin Landaluce, yet another of Rafael Nadal’s students, walked away with the 2022 US Open boys’ title.
In wheelchair tennis, Martin de la Puente was crowned with the 2022 US Open men’s doubles title. The young Spaniard cited that Rafael Nadal is one of the players he looks up to and tries to imitate.

Casper Ruud has borne exceptional results since joining the Rafa Nadal Academy. The 23-year-old already has 9 titles to his name and had ended as the runner-up at this year’s Roland Garros and most recently the US Open. The youngster has now advanced ahead of Rafael Nadal to become the new World No. 2.

Spanish teenager Carlos Alcaraz, meanwhile, overpowered Ruud in the 2022 US Open final to claim his first Grand Slam title & also the World No. 1 ranking. He is now the youngest player in ATP history to reach this top spot. Alcaraz has been equated to his older compatriot ever since he first seized fame-hood. Although the teenager is scripting his own history, the resemblances in their approach to the sport are undeniable.

World No. 1 Iga Swiatek has already proven herself as an invincible player on the WTA tour, winning 3 Grand Slams, 2 of them, this year. The 21-year-old’s 2022 US Open title demonstrated that she is ready to surmount even when not playing to the best of her capability. Swiatek, a self-declared fan of Rafael Nadal’s, has taken motivation from the Spaniard in this regard.

Why is Simona Halep divorcing her billionaire husband Toni Iuruc

Why is Simona Halep divorcing her billionaire husband Toni Iuruc after just a year of marriage?

The 30-year-old, who has won the Roland Garros and Wimbledon, tied the knot with the Romanian businessman in September 2021. Now exactly a year later the 2-time Grand Slam winner Simona Halep is divorcing her husband Toni Iuruc.

The two have decided to call it quits – 4 years after the couple started dating.

Speaking to Turkish news outlet Fanatik, Iuruc, 42, said: “We have mutually decided to break up and the divorce will be handled by the attorneys in the most civilised way possible. Thanks for your understanding.”

Surprisingly Fanatik had earlier reported that the two-time Grand Slam champion Halep and Iuruc were set to have their sacred wedding party on November 13. They had also stated that 300 people were invited to attend the celebration at Romania’s Sinaia Casino.

In a dramatic reversal of events they have instead agreed to divorce, with Halep already sorting a lawyer for the divorce proceedings – the team who was involved in her Nike sponsorship deal way before the lockdowns.

According to Hollywoods Magazine, Iuruc is worth a mammoth £1.72billion. It is understood that his fortune comes from him being the proud owner of six different multinational companies.

In addition to that, it is also a well-known fact that he comes from a wealthy family along with working in the real estate vertical with his mother.

This is the end of his third matrimonial relationship and Halep’s first.

The question is why is this couple resorting to divorce? As of now the information on this mutual decision of theirs is quite limited. However we are following this developing story and will soon follow it up with another article.

Why is Andy Murray donating his season earnings to UNICEF Aid?

35-year-old Andy Murray proclaimed back in March that he would contribute the rest of his season earnings to Ukraine UNICEF Aid to support children suffering from the Russian invasion.

The 3-time Grand Slam champion opened up about his continued activism ahead of the Citi Open, a hard court tournament that is being held in August.

He wants to make sure that the world is still aware of the ongoing Ukraine crisis, which has been going on since mid-February Russian invasion.

“It’s not the focal point on the news every day like it was back then,” Murray said, via Ben Rothenberg of Racquet Magazine. “You can’t just overlook this. It’s still going on and that is the harsh reality. People are still losing their lives, children are still having to run away from their homes, and are in really, really heart-breaking situations. I think it’s imperative that the media continues to cover this stark reality, keep talking about it.”

After the February Russian invasion of Ukraine, tennis players and tournaments were more forthright about the crisis. Some even wore ribbons in support of Ukraine during Indian Wells tournaments almost 5 months back, for example. Murray felt like the moral backing from the tennis fraternity has lost the impact in recent months in comparison.

But, support for Ukraine is back to being the focal point at the Citi Open. On top of bequeathing his earnings this upcoming week, Citi Open also declared that they will match Murray’s earnings to additionally donate to Ukraine relief.

Fans surprised at Sharapova’s fitness post pregnancy as she is spotted just weeks after giving birth to Theodore

Former tennis star Maria Sharapova took to social media earlier this month to announce the birth of her first child, a baby boy named Theodore.

The 35-year-old Russian posted a picture of the new addition to the family along with herself and fiance Alexander Gilkes, a British entrepreneur. The couple started courting in 2018 and publicized their engagement by the end of 2020.

Theodore was born on July 1 and it didn’t take long at all for the erstwhile World No. 1 to recuperate and step out following her son’s birth. She recently posted a photograph of herself on her Instagram stories, where she can be seen sporting an athletic outfit and standing on rocky terrain. The tennis legend said that she trekked after a long period of time.

A few photos of the Russian also emerged as she walked the boulevards of New York City alongside her mother Yelena Sharapova. Fans on Twitter were surprised to see how fit Maria Sharapova appeared to be just a few days after giving birth to her first child. Apparently she has already started Pilates sessions!

A 17-year-old Maria Sharapova shook up the world of women’s tennis in 2004 when she won the Wimbledon Championships by beating Serena Williams in the title clash. The victory resulted in immediate fame for the Russian as she rose to stardom and grabbed the attention of the entire world, attracting profitable sponsorship deals.

Seventeen years later, Britain’s Emma Raducanu found herself in a comparable situation. The youngster became the 1st player in the Open Era to win a Grand Slam as a qualifier. She overcame the challenge by another youngster, Leylah Fernandez, in the 2021 US Open finals at the age of 18.

However, Raducanu has not been able to continue her winning ways since then. She has been injry ridden on and off and fans have raised apprehensions about her multiple endorsement contracts disrupting her concentration.

Former Wimbledon champion Marion Bartoli has recommended Raducanu to seek advice from Sharapova. According to Bartoli, Sharapova handled the unexpected and sudden rise to fame very well and hence went on to win 4 more Majors.

Novak Djokovic reluctant to take the Jab | Unlikely to be permitted to play at the US Open 2022

“COVID vaccines can cause cardiac damage and that is the last thing an sportsperson can possibly risk, he has obviously made the right choice” – Dr Peter McCullough on Novak Djokovic.

Novak Djokovic has decided to remain unvaccinated regardless of having to miss out on several competitions, including the Australian Open (where he is a 9-time champion).

Djokovic, who defended his Wimbledon title not so long ago, is now just one short of Rafael Nadal’s count of 22 Grand Slam trophies but faces the possibility of not being allowed to take part in the forthcoming US Open.

In that perspective, American cardiologist Dr. Peter McCullough lately claimed there is sufficient medical substantiation to show that the COVID-19 vaccines cause harm to the heart and that they can prove to be damaging to a sportsperson.

Talking to Dave Martin on NTD News, Dr McCullough also mentioned that there could be damage to the skeletal muscles, nerves and the brain after taking the COVID vaccine.

Dr. McCullough further reiterated that a paper published on NCAA athletes has proven that they have a lesser rate of COVID-19 than the over-all student population.

Despite the peril of falling behind in the all-important Grand Slam battle, Novak Djokovic has been resolute with his stance on vaccination.

Talking to the media after his Wimbledon victory, the Serb reiterated that while he was reluctant to take the jab, he hoped that the American Government would tweak the rules to permit him to take part in the last Grand Slam of the year.

Drunken Fan Blows Nick Kyrgios' Fuse

Drunken Fan Blows Nick Kyrgios’ Fuse | Requesting her removal was the right thing!

Drunken Fan Blows Nick Kyrgios’ Fuse | Requesting her removal was the right thing!

Nick Kyrgios has always been brave & out spoken as mincing words is not his play.

Over the years he has had his fair share of altercations with fans in the crowd. At the 2022 Wimbledon final against Novak Djokovic, he lived up to that reputation.

This time, an apparently drunk woman in the crowd was distracting Kyrgios while he was serving. He requested the umpire to kick her out and said she almost cost him the game during the 3rd set.

“Why is she still here? She’s drunk out of her mind and talking to me in the middle of the game,” Kyrgios said. “What’s acceptable?”
The umpire responded he wasn’t sure which fan Kyrgios was referring to, to which Kyrgios said she was the one “who looks like she’s had about 700 drinks bro.”

During play, spectators are asked to be silent, so if there were any disturbing noises made while he was serving, then he had a valid case to request the removal of such fan.

On the other hand it is also true that Kyrgios has built an incredible reputation for his outbursts on the court. He was fined two times during Wimbledon, including for an audible obscenity during a fiery match against the Greek top seed Stefanos Tsitsipas. During that game, he shouted at the umpire and called him “a disgrace.”

Earlier on in the tournament when Kyrgios advanced to his second Wimbledon quarterfinal, he arrived at his press conference wearing a red hat and red shoes, ignoring the all-white attire of Wimbledon, and got himself into an entertaining verbal rally with a reporter over the policy.
