A matching sweat shirt in salmon pink and white stripes will complete the outfit.

The Spaniard is known for his bold sleeveless shirt which he often wore until 2008, even at the Wimbledon. Since 2009 he outfits have been toned down, and this year is a step in that direction.

Rafael Nadal will compete in the first Grand Slam of the 2021 tennis season for the chance to bag his 2nd title in Melbourne, after the only victory he won in 2009, where he had to overcome a gigantic challenge by Roger Federer in the final.

The top seeds on the planet, like Serena Williams, Naomi Osaka, Ashleigh Barty, Simona Halep, Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, Andy Murray, and all the others, will come back for the upcoming 2021 Australian Open, which will be held in Melbourne from 8 February.

Can Medvedev Change This in 2021

Djokovic Dominates Aussie Open & Nadal Rules at Roland Garros | Can Medvedev Change This in 2021?

Djokovic Dominates Aussie Open & Nadal Rules at Roland Garros | Can Daniil Medvedev Change This in 2021?

Rafael Nadal finding it ‘difficult’ to ‘solve’ the Novak Djokovic riddle on Australian Open hard courts.

It quite similar to how Novak Djokovic would feel against Rafael Nadal on clay courts – especially Roland Garros.

Rafael Nadal is yet to overcome the Novak Djokovic challenge on the Australian Open hard courts”, in the words of former WTA world No 1 Lindsay Davenport.

The duo met in the final of the Australian Open in 2019, but Djokovic demolished his fierce rival 6–3, 6–2, 6–3 in just over 2 hours while their only other encounter in Melbourne Park was way back at the 2012 final when Djokovic won a five-setter in a marathon 5 hours and 53 minutes.

The overall hard-court head to head statistics are also pointing clearly in favour of the Serb as he leads the head-to-head count 20-7.

Defending champion Djokovic will be eyeing his 9th title in Melbourne at the 2021 Australian Open and many believe Nadal will again be his toughest road block, but Davenport feels the Spaniard is yet to device a game plan to beat the world No 1 in Australia.

It just seems like when Rafa gets to the end of the tournament and he has to face the world no. 1 Novak Djokovic his body is held up. Novak’s a superior hard-court player in those conditions for some strange reason and it’s been tough for Rafa to solve that.

Renowned tennis coach Paul Annacone also acknowledges that he won’t bet on Rafael Nadal to win the 2021 Australian Open should the 20-time Grand Slam winner face Djokovic in any round. The only miracle that could work in Nadal’s favor is that he doesn’t have to face Novak at any stage. In other words a 2021 Australian Open final with Nadal facing any other opponent other than Djockovic is the only scenario when the Spaniard can add one more to his 20 titles.

“I think very simply, Rafa is just a little bit worse on hard court than Novak in particular and Roger [Federer] as well on a faster hard court,” he said. “But everyone else I’d put him ahead of. If he plays Novak at the end of the tournament, I’m not betting on him. But if he plays anyone else I’ll bet on him. I think the biggest thing for Nadal is to get through the first week relatively comfortably” in the words of coach Paul Annacone.

2020 AP Female Athlete of the Year Awarded to Naomi Osaka

2020 AP Female Athlete of the Year Awarded to Naomi Osaka

2020 AP Female Athlete of the Year Awarded to Naomi Osaka – Budding colored tennis star was named the Associated Press’ 2020 Female Athlete of the Year on 3rd January 2021.

She faced tough competition as the stars she was up against were none other than WNBA Finals MVP Breanna Stewart and Vanderbilt football player and football kicker Sarah Fuller.

Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James was named the AP Male Athlete of the Year.

23 year old Osaka went 16-3 during a 2020 season that saw the tournament schedule shortened by the COVID-19 pandemic. She also took home the U.S. Open title in September, her third Grand Slam win.

She also made a mark off the court, using her platform to support for social justice causes and to speak out against police violence and bigotry, which included skipping a semifinal match during the Western & Southern Open in August in protest of the Jacob Blake shooting. The contest ultimately paused all games for a day.

She also wore face masks prior to matches that highlighted the names of Black victims of violence and police violence.

Naomi Osaka Black Lives Matter

In an email to the AP, Osaka spoke about using her voice in 2020:
“It was difficult to be isolated from my family for large parts of the year, but that’s nothing compared to others. It was sad to watch and read the news of people suffering from COVID-19, and the economic and social effect on so many—losing jobs, mental health. It was such a tough year for so many people. And then watching the police injustices like George Floyd, Breonna Taylor and Jacob Blake (to name just a few) in the summer broke my heart. I am proud of my U.S. Open victory, but more so that I got people talking about the real issues.”

Tennis legend Billie Jean King called Naomi Osaka “a mentor not only in women’s tennis but in all of sports and a strength for change in our society.”
Osaka told the Associated Press that she just did what she believed to be right.

“To be honest, I really didn’t stop to think about what others would think of my actions,” she said. “Other people’s opinions weren’t going to stop me from doing what I know in my heart was the right thing to do. The strong voices of Colin [Kaepernick] and LeBron were certainly positive influences for me and gave me strength in my own convictions.”

The Truth Behind Sugarpova and Maria Sharapova’s Shoulder Injury

The Truth Behind Sugarpova and Maria Sharapova’s Shoulder Injury

The Truth Behind Sugarpova and Maria Sharapova’s Shoulder Injury – Maria Sharapova is perhaps the most charming tennis players and sportswomen of the last two decades, she has won a lot and has experienced several ups and downs throughout her career, but presently, we can say that the Russian is no longer only recognized for her role as a tennis champion.

During the Second Life podcast, Sharapova spoke about why she opted to pursue a vocation outside the world of tennis. Sharapova was a former world number 1 seed, a position she held for 21 weeks and has won 5 Grand Slam titles with 31 other titles.

Furthermore, Sharapova is the only Russian tennis player and seventh in history to have accomplished the Career Slam. In addition to being a big champion, Sharapova has also made substantial gains: she has been connected with several key brands throughout her career and has even started her own company.

Why did Maria Sharapova create her own company?

Maria Sharapova won her 3rd Slam title at the Australian Open in 2008 making her number one seed in the world again. After this accomplishment everything changed with Maria who developed a tear in the tendon of the shoulder, the second serious injury there and was compelled to go through surgery.

Maria Sharapova’s Shoulder Injury

She said: “At that time I was working non-stop to try to win even without my father, I wanted to show everyone my level and I was playing great. The injury changed my plans and I can say with absolute certainty that that stop gave me a new perspective on the way of life and meant that I wanted to have something that I also felt a little bit mine.

In fact, in 2013 Sharapova started the candy company called Sugarpova and many have pondered the reason for this choice. Sugarpova currently has 12 unique flavors of gummy candies and is one of the most popular brands in the globe in this industry.

My company, my brand. These candies symbolized a memory I had brought to my friends in Russia from the U.S.A.” In the meantime, the Russian, through her social media networks, revealed that she and Alexander Gilkes are formally engaged and are preparing to unite their love in marriage.

Sharapova has been in a relationship with the British entrepreneur since October 2018. It is therefore time to take the next step for Sharapova, who announced her departure from the sphere of tennis at the Australian Open in 2018.
