Coco Gauff Slams Sexist Remark On TikTok, Says Sports Is About Skill Not Gender.

Budding Tennis star Cori Coco Gauff gave a firm reply to a sexist TikTok user who disrespected her making a sexist remark that she wouldn’t be able to compete or beat a male tennis player because she’s a girl.

Best known as Coco in the tennis circuit, the 16-year-old said that playing better sports is not about gender but essentially about the skills. Gauff added, “If you’re a real athlete, then you know where I’m coming from.”

The American teenage star had defeated legend Venus Williams and Naomi Osaka at the Australian Open 2020 and she won her first singles title at the tender age of fifteen. Despite all of her efforts and acolades she was criticised for being a girl in the professional tennis circuit. However, an upset Gauff slammed the person in more than appropriate fashion.

“Bro what do you not understand she plays GIRLS tennis, he plays BOYS tennis, the skill gap is immeasurable,” the comment said, adding “A pro girl wouldn’t even win boys states.” Setting the record straight. “If you think that you’re better than me because of the sole fact that you’re a boy and I’m a girl, that doesn’t make any sense,” she said calling out the person. She claimed, “If you could say you could beat me because you think your skill level is better than mine, I respect that, we could go out there and we’ll compete and we’ll see who’s better,”.

Youngest WTA winner Coco Gauff

in 2019 she won her first WTA title and became the youngest to do so in the last 15 years.

Nicole Vaidisova held the earlier record of being the youngest WTA winner since 2004 when she won her 1st title.

Breaking her record, Gauff overcame the challenge by much experienced Jelena Ostapenko 6-3, 1-6, 6-2 to lift the Upper Austria Ladies trophy.

Currently ranked 48 Cori Gauff will face off with 260th ranked Ulrikke Eikeri in the 1st round of the 2021 Abu Dhabi Women’s Tennis Open for the 1st time in their career.

2020 AP Female Athlete of the Year Awarded to Naomi Osaka

2020 AP Female Athlete of the Year Awarded to Naomi Osaka

2020 AP Female Athlete of the Year Awarded to Naomi Osaka – Budding colored tennis star was named the Associated Press’ 2020 Female Athlete of the Year on 3rd January 2021.

She faced tough competition as the stars she was up against were none other than WNBA Finals MVP Breanna Stewart and Vanderbilt football player and football kicker Sarah Fuller.

Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James was named the AP Male Athlete of the Year.

23 year old Osaka went 16-3 during a 2020 season that saw the tournament schedule shortened by the COVID-19 pandemic. She also took home the U.S. Open title in September, her third Grand Slam win.

She also made a mark off the court, using her platform to support for social justice causes and to speak out against police violence and bigotry, which included skipping a semifinal match during the Western & Southern Open in August in protest of the Jacob Blake shooting. The contest ultimately paused all games for a day.

She also wore face masks prior to matches that highlighted the names of Black victims of violence and police violence.

Naomi Osaka Black Lives Matter

In an email to the AP, Osaka spoke about using her voice in 2020:
“It was difficult to be isolated from my family for large parts of the year, but that’s nothing compared to others. It was sad to watch and read the news of people suffering from COVID-19, and the economic and social effect on so many—losing jobs, mental health. It was such a tough year for so many people. And then watching the police injustices like George Floyd, Breonna Taylor and Jacob Blake (to name just a few) in the summer broke my heart. I am proud of my U.S. Open victory, but more so that I got people talking about the real issues.”

Tennis legend Billie Jean King called Naomi Osaka “a mentor not only in women’s tennis but in all of sports and a strength for change in our society.”
Osaka told the Associated Press that she just did what she believed to be right.

“To be honest, I really didn’t stop to think about what others would think of my actions,” she said. “Other people’s opinions weren’t going to stop me from doing what I know in my heart was the right thing to do. The strong voices of Colin [Kaepernick] and LeBron were certainly positive influences for me and gave me strength in my own convictions.”

My company, my brand. These candies symbolized a memory I had brought to my friends in Russia from the U.S.A.” In the meantime, the Russian, through her social media networks, revealed that she and Alexander Gilkes are formally engaged and are preparing to unite their love in marriage.

Serena Williams’ New Tricky Challenge Instagram Video

Serena Williams’ New Tricky Challenge Instagram Video Speaks Volumes

Serena Williams’ New Tricky Challenge Instagram Video Speaks Volumes – The Tennis icon took this social media challenge to answer some important questions.

The Tricky Challenge which first became a rage on TikTok in November, with videos set to Run DMC’s Tricky, as the participant is supposed to dance towards one of two choices.

Thirty nine year old Serena Williams uploaded a video on her Instagram challenge where she shows off her dancing skills, while revealing her stance on a number of topics.

Williams was dressed in a low-cut pink top tucked into light blue Daisy Dukes and black boots.

‘Those are some difficult choices. #TrickyChallenge’ Serena said in the caption of her post

In her Tricky Challenge dance she started – with a kick – towards Compton, and then was asked to pick between 2 of the 4 tennis majors – Wimbledon and the U.S. Open.

Serena danced towards Wimbledon, which, coincidentally, she has won 7 times, a slight edge over her 6 U.S. Open wins.

She paraded up to the choice of Night In or Night Out, casually walking towards Night In… before hinting towards a Night Out.

When she had to choose inbetween 2020 and 2021 she literally sprinted towards 2021, and the last choice was between Popeye’s and Krispy Krunchy.

While she seemed inclined to choose Krispy Krunchy, Serena appeared torn between the chicken chains, though she eventually went with Krispy Krunchy.

A day before her Tricky Challenge Instagram video, she shared another video of some of her tennis training, to statisfy those fans who had claimed she didn’t show enough of her training.

Williams has twenty three Grand Slam singles titles to her name, the most ever in the Open Era and the 2nd most in history, behind Margaret Court’s twenty four titles.
Serena married Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian in November 2017, after he apparently proposed to her in December 2016.

The couple has a lovely daughter Alexis Ohanian Jr.

I didn’t do exactly what they usually do, but I was given the chance to be with a brigade every day.I was surprised to see how involved they are, how they throw themselves into situations that arouse fear and panic.
