Ons Jabeur was born on December 23, 1995, in Sfax, Tunisia, to parents Tarek Jabeur and Ghofrane Zouari.
Her father, Tarek Jabeur, is a former professional soccer player, and her mother, Ghofrane Zouari, is a former volleyball player.
Jabeur has two younger sisters, one of whom is also a tennis player.
She comes from a family with a strong sporting background and began playing tennis at a young age with her family’s encouragement.
Her parents have been supportive of her career and have traveled with her to many of her tournaments around the world.
Jabeur had her best run to date in 2022, winning her 1st WTA 1000 title in Madrid as well as reaching her 1st 2 Grand Slam finals, meaning that she completed the year with a career-high WTA ranking of No.2.
