Garbine Muguruza was the only competitor adept enough for putting Naomi Osaka in trouble at the Australian Open 2021

In the round of 16, Garbine Muguruza came one step away from victory, but she did not reap the benefit of two match points and totally lost command of the game at the most important moment.

The match culminated with the score of 6-4, 4-6, 5-7 and literally paved the way for Osaka to advance and even win the tournament.

This match between Garbine Muguruza & Naomi Osaka was the turning point of the tournament.

Had Garbine Muguruza played her natural game all through she could have defeated Naomi Osaka.

And if that was the way things turned out at the round of 16, then the coast was clear for Muguruza to progress to the finals and eventually grab the title.

Muguruza has now gone past the disappointed of the Australian Open loss and having put that behind her she is back to being her fun self.

Her latest video post on Instagram has charmed her fans. The 27-year-old is seen in this video preparing a smoothie and twirling in sync with the notes of Gérant, a popular Latin American song.

On her Instagram timeline, Muguruza wrote: “Energía para empezar la semana! Vamonooss! Energy to begin the week! Let’s goo!”

She had an fantastic start to 2020, making the final at the Australian Open, after having defeated Simona Halep in the semifinals.

Garbine Muguruza commented that she has learned to approach difficult moments differently after her training with the special guard unit.

She revealed this in an interview with the Spanish daily AS.

“I have wanted to do this for years. They do not have a program for civilians for such activities (no. Muguruza did scuba diving, mountain and sea rescue operations, police interventions). I didn’t do exactly what they usually do, but I was given the chance to be with a brigade every day.I was surprised to see how involved they are, how they throw themselves into situations that arouse fear and panic. Talking to them, I got rich, I took some things that apply to my business. I feel that now I can face difficult moments with more serenity and calm”, Explained Muguruza.
