Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic, Andy Murray and Rafael Nadal will be playing at the upcoming Laver Cup to be held in London’s indoor hardcourts of the O2 arena.

Nadal, Djokovic, and Murray were all part of the Wimbledon Championships earlier this year, but Swiss maestro Roger Federer was not.

The last time that the ‘Big-4’ of the tennis world played together was way back in 2019 down under at the Australian Open.

Nadal, Murray, Djokovic and Federer hope to navigate Team Europe to fifth Laver Cup title

Roger Federer and his TEAM8 agency came up with the concept for Laver Cup, where a top team from Europe would compete against another star team from the rest of the world.

The tournament was inaugurated in 2017 with the with the introductory edition hosted in Prague. Chicago was the venue for the 2nd edition of the competition following which the event returned to Europe, with the historic Swiss city of Geneva hosting the event in 2019.

Boston hosted the Laver Cup in 2021 after a COVID-induced rescheduling the previous year. Team Europe has been skippered by Bjorn Borg while John McEnroe has commanded the World side in every edition of the competition thus far.

The tournament, which was called after Australian tennis legend Rod Laver, has seen a similar outcome play out in all 4 of the erstwhile editions, with Team Europe dominant over Team World.
