After a week packed with high-octane action, the finalists emerge on Day 9 of the Monte-Carlo Masters 2022.

Defending champion Stefanos Tsitsipas will take on the Spaniard Alejandro Davidovich Fokina (first-time finalist) in the singles final. The Greek arrived in Monte Carlo on the heels of a couple of unimpressive performances. But he has found his rhythm once again and is on the verge of winning back-to-back titles in Monte Carlo.

Tsitsipas displayed great skill in his victory over World No. 3 Alexander Zverev 6-4, 6-2 in the semifinals.

For Davidovich Fokina, this has been an unforgettable competition. He also took off with a straight-sets win over Marcos Giron in the first round. He then secured the greatest win of his career by overcoming World No. 1 Novak Djokovic in the second round. The Spaniard needed 3 sets to defeat the 20-time Major champion.

Davidovich Fokina pulled out an easy 6-4, 6-1 win over David Goffin in the 3rd round. He was pushed to his boundaries in the quarters and the semis by Taylor Fritz and Grigor Dimitrov respectively. But the 22-year-old triumphed in 3 sets on both instances to reach the final.
