Paula Badosa routed out Yulia Putintiseva in straight sets 6-3, 6-2. Putintseva actually made a confident start to the match as she didn’t allow the Spaniard a single break point in her first three service games. In the 7th game, Putintseva missed out on game points and paid the price as Badosa grabbed her opportunity and there was no looking back after that.

Coco Gauff’s strong resolve on display again

Gauff survived a strong challenge from Zhang. As expected, Coco Gauff was put to the test by some exceptional play by Zhang Shuai, but the teenager eventually came out on top 7-6(1), 7-5. Both contestants were equally matched for the better part of the contest, but the American proved her resolve in the key moments to edge out her adversary for the win.

Kyrgios has been playing fantastic tennis lately as in Indian Wells he reached the quarterfinal before going down in a tight contest to Rafael Nadal.
