They used a white minivan from their assigned hotel to come directly to the training centre. Serena’s coach Patrick Mouratoglou accompanied them there. They were spotted wearing their training attire as well as the mandatory mask in the pictures before going inside.
According to Venus Williams (7-time Grand Slam winner), she and Serena had stopped training together a long time ago. But given the protocols and the emerging situation surrounding the pandemic, it made practical sense for them to join forces again.
During the 2-weeks of quarantine, a player and their training partner will be allowed 5 hours every day for training.
Since there are tournaments that are happening ahead of the Australian Open, the players’ who have been denied training time will be on the disadvantage.
